Euphoria

Unbeknownst to me another day passes, my thoughts free of you.
On the night I met my healing,
and remembered my peace,
I found the stars to be simple and bright.
The mourning came and went, and our love was laid to rest.
It happened slowly, quietly.
And in that silence, I found clarity
When the stars, simple and bright,
Shone against the blank canvas of the night sky:
A glimpse of euphoria.
I wasn't searching, for I was empty.
It found me, and I've overflowed since.
